Burrito Turkey Burgers: Date Added: 30 Jul 2011

Vegetable cooking spray
1 (4-Ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
1 Cup chopped onion
1 (1-1/4 Ounce) package taco seasoning mix
8 (8-Inch) flour tortillas
1 (16-Ounce) can nonfat refried beans
As needed shredded lettuce
1/2 Cup shredded Cheddar cheese, DIVIDED
As needed salsa

Cooking Instructions

Yield: 8

1. Spray cold grill rack with vegetable cooking spray. Preheat grill for direct-heat method cooking.
2. In medium bowl combine ground turkey, chilies, onion and seasoning mix. Evenly divide turkey mixture into 8 (9x2-inch) rectangular-shaped burgers. Grill burgers 3 to 4 minutes, turn and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes or until 165 degrees F is reached on food thermometer and turkey is no longer pink in center. Remove and keep warm.
3. Heat tortillas according to package directions. Spread each tortilla with 1/4 cup refried beans and sprinkle with lettuce. Place 1 burger in center of each tortilla and sprinkle 1 tablespoon cheese over top.
4. Fold sides of tortillas over burgers to create burritos. Serve with salsa.
